HirakMazumder

I am an artist from Bangalore, born and brought up in Guwahati. With the nature of work I am into, with time and space, I have travelled though the length and breadth of our country. Being an artist who uses his creativity to express himself and to connect with others, I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me and I strive to create art that is both visually appealing and thought-provoking. Sometime my work is to re-create a scene which people can always connect with and feel nostalgic about. Some of my other work revolves around Hindu mythology and Buddhism Mantras or may be the force of Nature though the strength of muscle or the force of water. I also like to capture the different expressions and gestures of Human face.

The canvas is my life where I work with a variety of mediums, including Oil Painting, Acrylic, Charcoal, soft pastel and water colour. While experimenting with new techniques and materials, I always look for new ways to express my ideas. I feel what makes my art unique is the way I portray the nuances of my subjects and the way I take inspirations from nature that is compelling and display the myriad of colours.

My art is often personal and introspective, but it is also about the world around me. I am very passionate and interested in exploring the situations around the world and I hope that my art can help others to see the world in a new way.

In the artistry of “the Artist,” an oil painting on canvas unfolds a mesmerizing still life scene. A table commands attention, hosting an elegant candle stand adorned with three flickering candles, casting a warm, intimate glow. This composition exudes subtle harmony with books thoughtfully arranged at one end, their spines hinting at tales of knowledge and contemplation. On the opposing side, an empty flower vase stands as a silent sentinel, inviting contemplation of the vibrant blooms it once held. “The Artist’s” masterful strokes capture the interplay of light and shadow, infusing the scene with depth and emotion. This still life transcends mere arrangement, evolving into a poetic narrative inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the quiet beauty of commonplace objects, each silently weaving its story of simplicity, elegance, and the passage of time.

Size- 24’’ x 36’’  , Media- Acrylic on Canvas

In “The Artist’s” evocative seascape of Yarada Beach in Visakhapatnam, the canvas comes alive with the rhythmic dance of waves against the sandy shore. Two small hills adorned with lush trees and grasses provide a scenic backdrop, while strategically placed rocks add a rugged charm to the landscape. Notably, two substantial rocks in the foreground serve as both anchors and frames, enhancing the overall composition. These monumental features create a sense of scale and perspective, drawing viewers into the immersive coastal panorama.

The interplay of elements – from the textured rocks to the undulating waves – showcases “the Artist’s” adept brushwork and skillful use of light and shadow. This seascape becomes a visual symphony, where the organic beauty of Yarada Beach unfolds through the harmonious convergence of hills, rocks, and mesmerizing coastal waves.
